The Asiarack Modular synth rails is a design of groundbreaking significance. In the past, the rails of modular synthesizers were compatible with the rails of other standard equipment, resulting in complex and heavy track structures. Asiarack has ingeniously solved these problems through its minimalist design.
Specifically, Asiarack is a long strip of hollow shape with a cross-section that combines circular and square shapes, with a row of screw holes on top. This cross-section provides mechanical strength through a streamlined structure while adhering to traditional rail dimensions and fixing methods. The use of directly drilling holes on the rail eliminates the need for nut bar accessories used in previous rails. These features greatly reduce the weight and size of Asiarack.
This design has applied for WIPO.
On August 15, 2024, Teian publicly released the first generation of their test product – Asiarack beta300. This product had a limited production run of only 300 units, with a length of 84hp. It was made of 6061 aluminum alloy with an oxidized surface and offered the option of 1U and 3U side panels for customization.
